Purpose
Ballista is designed for job seekers to send professional resumes and cover letters to potential employers. This policy outlines what is and is not acceptable when using our service.
Acceptable Uses
- Sending resumes and cover letters for legitimate job applications
- Following up on job applications with professional correspondence
- Networking letters to hiring managers and recruiters
- Professional inquiries about employment opportunities
Prohibited Content
You may NOT use Ballista to send:
- Spam or Unsolicited Marketing: Mass mailings, advertisements, or promotional materials
- Harassment: Threatening, abusive, or harassing messages
- Illegal Content: Anything that violates local, state, or federal law
- Hate Speech: Content targeting individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, orientation, or other protected characteristics
- False Information: Fraudulent credentials, fake resumes, or misrepresented qualifications
- Copyrighted Material: Content you don't have rights to use
- Malicious Content: Viruses, malware, or anything designed to harm recipients
Prohibited Actions
- Sending the same letter to hundreds of companies (spam behavior)
- Repeatedly sending to the same recipient after being asked to stop
- Using Ballista for any purpose other than job seeking
- Impersonating another person or falsifying sender information
- Attempting to circumvent credit requirements or payment systems
- Abusing or attempting to exploit our AI features
- Scraping, reverse-engineering, or copying our service
Content Guidelines
Resumes and cover letters should:
- Be professional in tone and content
- Contain accurate information about your qualifications
- Be relevant to the job or company you're targeting
- Be formatted appropriately for business correspondence
- Not contain excessive personal information (SSN, full address, etc.)
Volume Limits
While we don't impose strict sending limits, we monitor for spam-like behavior. Sending hundreds of identical letters in a short time may trigger a review. Legitimate job seekers sending personalized applications will never hit these limits.
Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations
- Order Cancellation: Problematic orders will be cancelled with credit refund
- Account Suspension: Repeated or serious violations
- Permanent Ban: Severe violations (illegal content, harassment)
- Legal Action: We cooperate with law enforcement for illegal activities
Reporting Violations
If you receive unwanted mail sent through Ballista or believe someone is misusing our service, please report it to abuse@ballista.io
