What we search:

LinkedIn, company sites, X posts, Google Places, Crunchbase, SEC filings, news, state filings, and our own data sources.

Manual Search Steps

Want to search on your own? Here is how to find what you need.

1
Find the decision maker
  • Search "[Company] [Role] decision maker" on LinkedIn
  • Look for department heads or team leads on the company's "About" page
  • Check who posted the job listing (often visible on LinkedIn)
  • Search X/Twitter for employees mentioning open roles
2
Find the office address
  • Check the company's "Contact" or "Locations" page
  • Look for the office nearest to where the role is based
  • SEC filings list registered addresses (public companies)
  • For remote-first companies, use the legal headquarters
3
Verify with Google Maps
  • Search the company name + city in Google Maps
  • Check Street View to confirm it's an active office
  • Look for suite/floor numbers in reviews or photos
  • Cross-reference with the company website

Special Cases

Multi-office companies

Pick the office where the job is based. Most job posts list the city.

Remote-first companies

Use the main HQ. Mail gets routed to the right person inside.

Startups without public addresses

We dig through Crunchbase, state filings, and co-working space lists to find them.

International companies

Ballista only ships to U.S. addresses. Pick their U.S. office or HQ.
